TOP OF FIRST HOUR NEWS: Wednesday, July 24, 2019 – 

1. (Drudge) Wash. Post says Trump vowed millions of immigration arrests in dramatic raids. ICE caught 18 family members.... Plus 17 collateral arrests of illegals not targeted. NYT: ONLY 35 ARRESTED IN ICE RAIDS  (MSN shares the article) ICE targeted 2,105 illegal aliens across the country last week in widely publicized raids, called Operation Border Resolve. But the government revealed Monday that just 35 people were detained! The publicity may have prompted those disregarding final deportation orders to temporarily leave their homes, or to move altogether to evade arrest. Advance notice of the large-scale operation also gave so-called immigrant advocates time to counsel so-called families about their rights, which include not opening the door or answering questions. On social media, community groups shared detailed information about sightings of ICE agents. 

   1. Matthew Albence, the acting director of ICE, said, “I don’t know of any other population where people are telling them how to avoid arrest as a result of illegal activity. It certainly makes it harder for us to effectuate these orders issued.” From May 13 through July 11, ICE arrested 899 adults who had final deportation orders, that undertaking called Operation Cross Check. The majority had criminal convictions. 

   2. A backlog of nearly one million immigration cases means that it can take years for a case to wind its way through the courts. Those targeted in last week’s raids, the majority had been ordered removed from the country by an immigration judge. ICE found “that the vast majority did not even show up for their first hearing.” ICE “sent them letters giving them the opportunity to turn themselves in and arrange for an orderly removal process,” including time to organize their affairs and schedule flights on commercial carriers.

   3. The government’s also been cracking down on companies suspected of hiring so-called “undocumented immigrants.” Almost 3,300 businesses subjected to these “silent raids” included restaurants, food processing, high-tech manufacturing, agriculture and other industries that employ thousands of workers INCLUDING ILLEGALS. Employers typically lose a substantial number of workers as a result of the audits, which can also lead to fines and criminal charges against the businesses. NICE. The Trump administration has significantly increased company inspections, often called I-9 audits (my illegal friends had I-9’s! But no driver licenses!). I-9 is the form that workers fill out affirming that they’re authorized to work in the United States. There were nearly 6,000 such audits in fiscal 2018 compared to less than 1,400 the previous year.  “The Trump administration has been more aggressive than any administration with I-9 investigations,” said Kimberley Robidoux, a business immigration lawyer in San Diego. 

   4. Just last week, the administration announced it would deny protections to immigrants who failed to apply for asylum in at least one country they passed through on their way north, in its latest attempt to deter Central Americans from heading to the United States. That policy was challenged in court by a coalition of immigrant advocates one day after it was announced. Immigration lawyers are trying to prevent deportations! 

2. (Drudge) Guatemala Pulls Out Of 'Safe Third Country' Deal… President Trump tweeted: Guatemala, which has been forming Caravans and sending large numbers of people, some with criminal records, to the United States, has decided to break the deal they had with us on signing a necessary Safe Third Agreement. We were ready to go. Now we are looking at the “BAN,”.... ....Tariffs, Remittance Fees, or all of the above. Guatemala has not been good. Big U.S. taxpayer dollars going to them was cut off by me 9 months ago. 

3. (Drudge) GALLUP: IMMIGRATION BIGGEST CONCERN… After hitting a new high last month, mentions of immigration as the most important problem facing the U.S. increased further to 27% in July. This surpasses the record 23% naming the immigration issue in June. A small number of issues have ever eclipsed 27% mentions since 2001. Republicans have typically been more likely than Democrats and independents to name immigration as the most important problem, and that is still the case. In the latest survey, 42% of Republicans, 20% of independents and 20% of Democrats mention immigration.

1. (Drudge) Mexico sets murder record… (AP) Mexico set a new record for homicides in the first half of the year as the number of murders grew by 5.3% compared to the same period of 2018, fueled partly by cartel and gang violence in several states. Official figures: 3,080 killings in June, an increase of over 8% from the same month a year ago. The country of almost 125 million now sees as many as 100 killings per day nationwide. HERE’S THE NUMBER: The 17,608 killings in the first half of 2019 is the most since comparable records began being kept in 1997, including the peak year of Mexico’s drug war in 2011. Officials said 16,714 people were killed in the first half of 2018. Drug cartel turf wars increasingly bloody in the northern state of Sonora! — number of homicides up by 69% in the first half of the year. But in Sinaloa, where the cartel of convicted drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman is based, homicides declined by 23% so far this year compared to last. Other types of crime, like extortion, have become increasingly frequent and violent — also involving rival gangs. SMH. 

2. (Drudge) Nearly the ENTIRE Bay Area sees a homelessness surge… (SF Curbed) San Francisco recently released results of its 2019 point-in-time homeless census conducted in January: disastrous! as SF’s homeless headcount increased by the hundreds despite the city’s seemingly ceaseless efforts to provide relief. Five out of nine Bay Area Counties—i.e., all of those not located in the North Bay—saw their homeless counts spike during the same period, with each other county showing worse homelessness surges than SF. 

   1. SF’s report to HUD (federal Housing and Urban Development, of which Dr. Ben Carson is the secretary) counted over 8,000 homeless persons, a nearly 17 percent increase over two years from under 6,900 in 2017. The city’s own internal count is higher (at more than 9,700 persons) because SF uses a broader definition of who counts as homeless. SF’s per capita homelessness rate remains the highest in the Bay Area.

   2. San Mateo County’s homeless count spiked to over 1,500, more than 20 percent more than the roughly 1,250 count from two years ago. 

   3. Santa Clara County reported a count of over 9,700 for 2019. In 2017, the count was under 7,400, an increase of more than 31 percent. 

   4. Alameda County’s figure came in at over 8,000, up over 42 percent from 2017’s figure of over 5,600. The increase is even worse longer-term — this latest count is nearly double that of the over 4,000 in 2015! 

   5. Contra Costa County similarly spiked to nearly 2,300 — nearly 43 percent more than the previous count of over 1,600. 

   6. Homelessness declined (significantly, but by less) across the North Bay.

For fear of California’s powerful environmentalist groups, they removed the poison and were in search of effective, less toxic alternatives! BUT RATS CARRY DISEASES! Los Angeles County has seen skyrocketing cases of one such disease, typhus. But researchers are finding widely used rodent poisons, specifically anticoagulant rodenticides, sometimes at lethal levels in the bodies of beloved California predators such as birds of prey and mountain lions.

  (Heavy) Francisco Erwin Galicia: 18-year-old supposedly Dallas-born anchor baby, detained by Customs and Border Protection and detained for three weeks despite presenting his state ID and social security card, so his attorney told The Dallas Morning News. 

  He was traveling with his 17-year-old brother, Marlon Galicia, who is “undocumented,” and a group of friends. only had a school identification card but Francisco Galicia had a Texas state ID and other documents. Both brothers were detained and Marlon signed a voluntary deportation form after two days of detention. 

  Activists have been tweeting, including AOC. They’re crying “racial profiling,” even though his family members are all illegal, including his brother and mother. Galicia was detained over suspicion that his documents were fraudulent because others in the car did not have proper ID, according to attorney Claudia Galan. 

  He says he signed the voluntary deportation so he could talk to his mom. 

  Galan told The Washington Post that Galicia’s case has been delayed because his mother took out a US tourist visa in his name while he was still a minor, falsely stating he was born in Mexico. 

  His mother, Sanjuana, said CBP discovered the visa after fingerprinting Francisco. Galan said the document fueled suspicions that Galicia’s documents were fake. She said she obtained the visa because she believed it was the only way for him to cross the border to visit family in Mexico. His mother, who is “undocumented,” said she could not obtain a passport for her son because she used a different name for herself on his birth certificate.

  “All of the abuse he has gone through pains me,” she told The Post. “I can’t sleep thinking that they are going to harm him because they think he is lying about his citizenship.”

Joseph moves on topics and attempts to diagnose Jesse with some sort of behavioural or emotional issue. Joseph keeps trying with the emotional trauma angle. He is very sure of his assumptions and refuses to take his own advice.

Jose from Pennsylvania wants to know if James sees Trump's tweets as racist. Jose is pretty sure it was racist. James is surprised Jose is nitpicking so much considering he claims he voted for Trump. Jose goes on to say all sorts of ridiculous things but the craziest was “AOC is more American than Trump”

Pastor Validates the "Hurt" Feelings of Trump Haters! ("JLP News," Tues., Jun 4, 2019)

TOP OF FIRST HOUR NEWS: Tuesday, June 4, 2019 – 

1. It’s that time of year again! (Drudge & Chicago Tribune) Most violent weekend in Chicago this year: At least 52 shot, 9-10 killed… More than half the victims were wounded during 12-hours from Friday evening to Saturday morning when 31 were shot, at least 4 killed on the West and South sides. Also at least one other person was fatally stabbed. Violence typically spikes during summer months (winters are cold!) — this past weekend surpassed Memorial Day weekend when 43 were shot, 7 of them fatally. Targeted patrols where police suspected gang retaliation may take place yielded 19 arrests and 81 illegal weapons seized Friday night. They’re trying to solve the cases but 75-82% of their homicides go unsolved, unpunished (nationwide only 40% go unsolved).

   1. Two black men, ages 22 & 25, were found dead around 6am Sunday morning inside a car hit by at least a dozen bullets (in the 100 block of West North Ave), the driver shot in the back several times, and the passenger also shot several times.

   2. Less than two hours earlier, a black woman was shot in the chest and killed on the South Side.

   3. Lots of people shot and hospitalized, from ages 16 to late 20s, some stabilized, others in critical condition.

   4. A man in a woman in a car started arguing; the man pepper sprayed the woman and shot her leg! She was taken to the hospital in so-called “good condition.”

2. (Drudge) Rat infestation at LA City Hall linked to homeless encampments… YOU THINK? (LA Times) Filth from homeless camps is luring rats to L.A. City Hall. (Oh there were already rats there, it’s called the mayor and city council!) When city workers complained, most city officials said little about whether the problem was connected to several homeless camps right outside. But a newly uncovered report from a pest control company hired by the city has raised fresh questions about whether officials wrongly downplayed that possibility during discussions at City Council meetings. I TOLD YOU!

   1. CatsUSA Pest Control, brought in to assess areas outside City Hall and nearby buildings, warned that homeless people create “harborage for rodents,” according to the report issued Dec. 28 (5 months ago!) and obtained last month through a public records request by a frequent critic of City Hall. (Of course!) The company said it found “poor sanitary conditions” — including leftover food, human waste and hypodermic needles — and recommended that the city clear away the homeless population living in the Civic Center.

   2. There are pits covered by metal grates surrounding City Hall. The building & construction maintenance superintendent wrote, “The homeless are using the grated areas above the pits as their bathroom and relieving themselves. This is also attracting the rats. Custodial will need to do some hazmat cleaning of the grates and the pits. There are even hypodermic needles being tossed in the pits along with human waste and other garbage.”

   3. Some tried to blame demolition of Parker Center, the former L.A. Police Department headquarters. But one councilman who says he was unaware of the report said he always blamed the homeless! Councilman Joe Buscaino said he worked on skid row as a police officer, and done cleanups as a councilman.

   4. Meanwhile, Council President Herb Wesson four months ago (this report was 5 months ago!) had cautioned against blaming the homeless, “I do not want to have people who are unfortunately living on the streets blamed for something that they might not have anything to do with, but they're just an easy target." What a liberal BETA MALE!

3. (Drudge & CBS Sacramento) Residents In CA Neighborhood near Sacramento Find Cats Sliced In Half, Decapitated… SATANISM! OR JEFFREY DAHMER? These are family pets being killed in some cases! It’s happened at least a few times over the months! Some of the women owners (one of them called herself “mother” to the cat, even though she has a real son) talked to media and said they’re convinced it’s like a machete, and not a wild animal leaving the cats severed like this.

(Drudge) HARD TIME: California's jails are so bad some inmates beg to go to prison instead… (Herald Mail Media) One guy who stole his first car at age 10 is now 35, has served in 8 different California prisons, but he’s suing Sacramento County because his hardest time was Sacramento County Jail where he was sentenced to 8 years for burglary, ID theft, etc. He claims he had untreated glaucoma that left him legally blind, he frequently got windowless solitary confinement and heard voices, couldn’t get mental health help, tried to commit suicide, so he’s accusing them of subjecting inmates to inhumane conditions.

   1. People are serving time in jails instead of prisons to reduce prison overcrowding, to keep people closer to home, and give opportunities for education and training. But it doesn’t work out that way in urban counties. The jails weren’t meant to handle long-term & violent inmates, many with chronic health & mental issues.

   2. Statewide, assaults on jailers increased almost 90% from 2010, the year before prison downsizing began, to 2017! Medical spending jumped to $64 million in 2017 from $38 million in 2010. Legal challenges over inmate treatment have expanded to about a dozen county jails.

   3. Deaths in California jails jumped by 26% in the years after they started receiving long-term inmates, peaking at 153 in 2014 before falling to 133 in 2017. That year, California had 17.7 deaths per 10,000 inmates; Texas, which has the second largest jail population, had 13.2.

   4. Idiot voters have decided that prison populations with disproportionate numbers of “people of color” represent “outdated” “tough-on-crime” policies. Obama let criminals out. Liberal judges let criminals out in California and around the country. They pretend crime hasn’t increased, even though homelessness has exploded.

2. (Drudge) SAFRICA: Prominent white farmer killed following land grab dispute… WHOA. (The South African) After expressing concerns about land grabs on his property earlier this year, Stefan Smit has fell victim to a farm murder on his Stellenbosch estate this weekend. He was interviewed by the New York Times in March about the threat of land confiscation without compensation. He owns vineyards. People from a nearby township began erecting shacks in the back of his farm. The farmer was forced to get a court interdict against the squatters. Four armed men gained access to the wine estate via an unlocked door, before opening fire on the 62-year-old. His wife and a family friend survived the attack.

   1. In his March NY Times interview he’d said, “I, personally, can’t breathe here. They are bringing people down here like fodder. I have never spoken to the people myself, not directly. You don’t do that. It’s not un-dangerous. It’s not advisable. I have received threats before, where they said they would burn me alive.”

   2. His nephew tweeted after his murder: “In one day in South Africa: - My father on crutches is almost robbed of his phone and wallet. - My uncle is murdered on his farm in Stellenbosch which has been in the family since 1896.”

   3. Police have made no arrests, but are “investigating.” Black-on-white farm attacks are happening all the time (as well as black-on-black murders like crazy period); it’s only news now because he was somewhat known.

(Drudge) Baltimore mayor suggests boxing bouts to settle street beefs… (Baltimore Sun) The day after a teenager was killed and four others were injured in shootings in Baltimore, Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young suggested mediation as one option, or lacing up boxing gloves and slugging it out! “If they want to really settle them, we can have them down at the Civic Center [now called Royal Farms Arena], put a boxing ring up, let them go and box it out, those kind of things,” Young said. “[May] the best man win, and the beef should be over. Those are some kinds of things I’m thinking about, and hoping that we can get these people to put these guns down.”

More about Baltimore (Baltimore Sun) Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young, Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby (of Freddie Gray infamy) and City Councilman Robert Stokes Sr. joined hundreds of people from Walk By Faith Ministries to kick off the “Bmore United” rally against gun violence, sponsored by the city. The FBI said it found guns during a 2017 visit to his home. (Talk about corruption, they wait around till now to prosecute him?) It’s not even related to the United Constitutional Patriots actions at the border. The UCP has helped the U.S. Border Patrol detain some 5,600 migrants in New Mexico in the last 60 days.

I mentioned this yesterday: (Drudge) UPDATE: Mexican soldiers detain American soldiers on U.S. soil… (Conservative Review) On April 13, at around 2 p.m. Central Time, a group of five or six suspected Mexican soldiers approached an unmarked vehicle of two U.S. soldiers stationed at the border in El Paso County, Texas, and ordered them out of the vehicle. The Mexican soldiers disarmed one of the U.S. soldiers and placed his sidearm in the U.S. vehicle. While the soldiers were parked south of the border fence near Clint, Texas, they were north of the Rio Grande riverbed, which placed them “appropriately in U.S. territory.” And, “Throughout the incident, the U.S. soldiers followed all established procedures and protocols,” according to NORTHCOM.

That one of the supposed Mexican soldiers took one sidearm from an American and put it in the American vehicle is curious, as if the Mexicans knew exactly who they encountered, where they were encountered, and were simply making a statement. What the purpose of that statement was is open to broad speculation, but on the face of it, this was probably political – as in showing that to Mexico, borders mean nothing.”

   2. (Wash. Examiner) U.S. Military Rules are under review… after the soldier surrendered his pistol to Mexican troops on American soil in attempt to de-escalate a potentially volatile situation. Two employees at a store in Eugene, Oregon, were stuck with hypodermic needles within a month of each other. That is evil! Nasty! Starbucks was fined $3,100 as a result of the investigation. Dude, find the druggies! THIS IS CRAZY: Thousands of workers have called for Starbucks to install sharps boxes in its bathrooms as employees report finding blood and needles and being pricked by improperly discarded sharps, risking exposure to HIV and hepatitis.

1. (Drudge) Woman wakes from coma -- after 30 years! Oh my gosh. This is in the United Arab Emirates so who knows. A car crash in 1991 left Munira Abdulla in a comatose state but her son never lost hope that she would wake up — so that’s 27 years in a vegetative state. Her son was 4 when it happened, and she didn’t see him again in all those years. She was 32 at the time! She regained consciousness in a German hospital room. Her son Omar is 32 now! Ms Abdulla was able to answer questions when visited, albeit with difficulty, and recited verses from the Quran. (Uh-oh!)

   1. That day there was no bus at the school to take her son home. At about 4pm, his mother, driven by her brother-in-law, picked up young Omar. “My mother was sitting with me in the back seat. When she saw the crash coming she hugged me to protect me from the blow.” Oh so she wasn’t driving. She was left like that for hours due to no cell phones! She was transferred to London at first, then Al-Ain. Tube-fed, she underwent physiotherapy to prevent her muscles deteriorating. He would walk several kilometres to see her every day and would sit with her for hours. Ms Abdulla's family thanked the Crown Prince's Court for supporting their family.

2. The Guardian calls itself independent but they’re promoting this transgender person who works for them; they helped her make a movie about having a baby. She calls herself a man. Her mother used to tell her she loved being pregnant, and everyone should experience it someday — especially men. Well so this woman pretends to be a man and has a non-binary partner (who’s also female) — but that partner doesn’t want a baby, so I think they split up. It’s just awful. This woman’s father was against it, but now that he’s gonna have a grandbaby he’s broken down. The woman’s mother is all involved and accepting, it’s pretty messed up and disgusting honestly. What a shame. They call the movie Seahorse because the male carries the child. But this woman is not a real male, she’s a female-to-male transgender, but you know, gender dysphoria that people are forced to participate in the delusion. The British, smh! We’re not far behind, but a significant minority are turning around, and we don’t require numbers.
