On Wednesday, Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, a 21-year-old Pakistani man, pleaded guilty in Manhattan federal court to attempting to commit terrorism by plotting an ISIS-inspired mass shooting at a Brooklyn Jewish center.
Authorities identified Khan after he began posting support for the Islamic State in November 2023, and he later told two undercover officers he aimed to kill Jewish people in retaliation for Israel's military actions against Palestinians in Gaza.
