(Drudge) USA LABELS CHINA 'CURRENCY MANIPULATOR'... (Politico) The United States took a rare formal step, but it jives with what Trump’s been saying. "In recent days, China has taken concrete steps to devalue its currency, while maintaining substantial foreign exchange reserves despite active use of such tools in the past," the US Treasury Department said in a statement that followed the People's Bank of China's decision to let its currency, the renminbi, fall to the lowest level in more than a decade. U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin made the determination acting "under the auspices of President Trump," meaning with his support or approval. Mnuchin will now "engage with the International Monetary Fund [the IMF!] to eliminate the unfair competitive advantage created by China’s latest actions."
Previous administrations have been loath to label China a currency manipulator, arguing it was better to work with other countries to put diplomatic pressure on Beijing. The last time Treasury designated any country as a currency manipulator was in the early 1990s, when China was named.
During the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump promised to formally label China as a currency manipulator on his first day in office. But he declined to do that, reflecting the prevailing view at the time that Beijing was not devaluing its currency for an unfair trade advantage. Since then, the Treasury Department has kept China on a currency watch list.
So they may get increased scrutiny, possibly less financing and fewer bids on stuff with the US after a year — apparently they get a whole year’s warning by law. But the Commerce Department has previously proposed treating undervalued currencies as an illegal trade subsidy, which could mean more countervailing duties, which means import taxes... to prevent dumping due to China’s gov’t subsidizing its businesses like crazy and basically cheating the system any way they can.
(Drudge) BEIJING ESCALATES TRADE WAR… (Reuters) China Halts new agricultural purchases… of US farm products! (Yahoo Finance) One guy called the Retaliation an '11' on Scale of 1 to 10… He also says there’s “increased anecdotal evidence that the Chinese government is tightening its overview of foreign firms.”
(Drudge) GOLD SOARS… as the DOW -767 (WSJ) Gold Claims Six-Year High as Trade Worries Deepen — now up 15% from its low of 2019 after Trump had announced additional tariffs on China. President Donald Trump announced last week that, as of Sept. 1, the U.S. would impose a 10% tariff on $300 billion of Chinese imports. (NICE. Kind of exciting…)
(Drudge and Market Watch ask...) Is the BUBBLE POPPING? A blogger claims we’re relying on the Federal Reserve to save the market but that it will fail. “Nothing the Fed could do will restore a fragile, speculation-dependent, debt-bubble economy to any sort of health,” he wrote. “Whatever the Fed does, it further distorts a massively distorted system, increasing the odds of a catastrophic re-set.” He has a graph of a “Stock Market Crash Scenario.”
(CNBC) BIG TECH LOSES $162B IN shareholder VALUE in Monday’s market rout. Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Alphabet (which is Google) and Facebook — the five most valuable U.S. companies (less valuable in my eyes due to being a bunch of anti-freedom liberals, but that’s beside the point of this) — each lost more than 3% on Monday. The rout actually started on Friday, when tech’s big five lost a combined $66 billion in market cap.
MEANWHILE… (Drudge) NKorea conducts MORE launches, and threatens to take a 'new road'... (AP) North Korea fired two presumed short-range ballistic missiles into the sea Tuesday while lashing out at the United States and South Korea for continuing military exercises that the North says could derail fragile nuclear diplomacy.
North Korea’s fourth round of weapons launches in less than two weeks!
This after President Donald Trump repeatedly dismissed the significance of the country’s recent tests despite the threat the weapons pose to allies South Korea and Japan and to U.S. bases there. (“Experts” think that was unwise.)
Tue, Aug 6, Hour 1:
Jesse, Nick, Joel, and James discuss the new Biblical Question: What is a white supremacist?
Jesse starts talking with 18-y-o Dee from NH, then continues in the second hour.
TOP OF SECOND HOUR NEWS: Tuesday, August 6, 2019 –
(Drudge) Iran unveils new missiles, and warns of the 'mother of all wars'... if the US attacks amid tensions in the gulf of Oman. (Daily Mail) The Islamic Republic of Iran unveiled three new air-to-air precision guided missiles Tuesday. Defence Minister Brigadier-General Amir Hatami said his country 'will not hesitate for a moment to defend itself.' President Rouhani had previously threatened the “mother of all wars.” While stressing that Tehran is willing to negotiate over its nuclear programme, Rouhani said that America must drop all sanctions before the country will talk.
Among the new weapons unveiled by Tehran was a guided missile dubbed Yasin, which has folding wings and is designed to be fired from a drone.
Another newly-developed weapon was the Balaban, which Iran said could be fired from an aircraft before being guided to its target using GPS and other sensors.
Finally, the defence ministry unveiled an updated version of the heat-seeking Ghaem missile, which is also designed as an air-to-air weapon, the Fars news agency said.
This comes as Britain joined a US-led mission to protect ships in Strait of Hormuz. The UK then became a target of Tehran's ire after seizing an Iranian tanker off Gibraltar in what the regime described as 'economic terrorism' carried out on behalf of America. On Monday, the UK became the first nation to agree to join a US-led mission to protecting shipping through the Gulf after one of its tankers was seized.
(Daily Mail) The Man who drove with the Dayton mass shooter and his sister before the massacre was his best friend - whom suspect Connor Betts then shot! He shot his best friend! And His best friend, Charles 'Chace' Beard, age 24, is now cops' best hope of finding motive for murders. Beard was shot and critically wounded outside the Ned Peppers Bar - where Betts also gunned down his own sister Megan. The three had driven from their family homes in Dayton suburb of Bellbrook to the Oregon District before Betts' mass shooting early Sunday morning. Beard and Megan are not believed to have been romantically involved; he is said to be in a relationship with another woman but was friends with Betts at high school. Confusingly, Beard was also on 'kill list' of targets he drew up when he was at the school. The revelation will deepen mystery over motive for Betts' mass shooting, which cops do not believe was linked to the El Paso shooting the previous day. Beard will be key witness but it is unclear if he has been able to help police yet; his parents spoke to officers Monday.
(Drudge) Ohio lawmaker blames 'drag queen advocates' in rant… (NY Post) State Rep. Candice Keller (R, from south of Dayton) blamed the breakdown of the traditional American family and so-called same-sex marriage as well as the “drag queen advocates” in a since-deleted Facebook rant. (Shameful she deleted it!) Keller’s post also blamed failed school policies, violent video games, and children who are raised without fathers as other reasons for the mass shooting that erupted less than 24 hours after 20 people were gunned down at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas. The post also claimed that a growing “hatred of our veterans,” a Democratic Congress and a rising culture that “totally ignores the importance of God and the church” were other explanations for the shooting.
She was shamed by people including a sheriff!
Keller then criticized state lawmakers for having what she claims is “no interest whatsoever” in learning about the Constitution, especially the Second Amendment, as well as “snowflakes who can’t accept a duly-elected President,” according to the post.
This Thursday, Aug 8, 7 PM PT is our Men’s History Month Free Speech Forum! Will Witt (young PragerU guy), Brandon Tatum (ex-cop, founder of Blexit), Steven Bonnell II aka Destiny (Twitch streamer, liberal debater), Bentley Fierro (businessman, actor, mentor), BrendioEEE (Incel advocate), of course moderated by Jesse Lee Peterson, talk show host and founder & president of BOND. JesseLeePeterson.com or 323-782-1980 (BOND office) to get tickets. TOPICS: Mass shootings, race, manhood, big tech censorship, 2020 election, Trump vs Congresswomen of color, and the border crisis. Lot to cover!
Tue, Aug 6, Hour 2:
Dee from NH had never heard about forgiveness until hearing Jesse, even going to church.
Walker from FL, also a first-time caller, gives a great testimonial about Jesse helping people wake up.
More great calls including Stan from Atlanta, GA, first-time caller who is a “black supremacist.”
A black man named Daywalker says something deep toward the end of the hour.
TOP OF THIRD HOUR NEWS: Tuesday, August 6, 2019 –
(Drudge) Republicans Fear 'Extinction in Suburbs' Over Gun Control… (BNN Bloomberg) Some Republicans are raising alarms that their opposition to new firearm limits is making the party toxic to the suburban women and college graduates who will shape the 2020 election. Sound like liberals! “Republicans are headed for extinction in the suburbs if they don’t distance themselves from the NRA. The GOP needs to put forth solutions to help eradicate the gun violence epidemic,” said Dan Eberhart, a Republican donor and oil-and-gas executive who supposedly supports President Donald Trump. Last year, Eberhart said, he was having lunch with Rick Scott when the then-Florida governor learned of the school shooting that killed 17 in Parkland. Now after this past weekend’s shootings, Eberhart said it’s time to join Democrats and majorities of Americans who want to ban those types of guns (AR-15s, etc). “The GOP needs to make several moves such as universal background checks, eliminating loopholes and banning military-style assault weapons to neutralize the issue,” he said. “Otherwise, Republicans will lose suburban voters just like they did in the midterms on health care.” (This guy sounds like a real scumbag corrupting the Republican Party! See photo of him below.)
GOP Senator Lindsey Graham said Monday he cut a deal with Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal on “red flag” legislation to assist and encourage states to keep guns away from people who are found to pose an imminent risk of violence.
In the 2018 election Republicans were swept out of the House majority after losing suburban bastions — places like Orange County, California, and around Dallas and Houston, Texas. 2018 voters favoured more restrictions on gun rights, per exit polls, such people favoring Democrats overwhelmingly. Gun policy ranked as the No. 4 concern. Voters with “gun policy” as their top issue overwhelmingly voted Democrat. (Brainwashed!)
Here’s more propaganda: There have been 255 mass shootings so far this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive, which counts incidents where at least four people were shot or killed, not including the shooter. (WND points out most of those are NOT white males, BTW.)
(Drudge) Latest retirement highlights party's growing peril in TX… (AP) Rep. Kenny Marchant, an eight-term lawmaker from the Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs, said Monday he won’t seek re-election in 2020. That made him the 11th GOP representative to so far say he’ll step aside — compared to just three Democrats — and the seventh in just two weeks. (RINOs!) So-called experts attribute turning Texas blue to two factors. One is the state’s growing populations of Hispanics and of moderate voters in communities ringing cities like Dallas, Houston and Austin, the other is the supposedly polarizing rhetoric of President Donald Trump.
(Drudge) Uruguay issues travel warning for USA… (Reuters) In a press release, the Foreign Ministry advised avoiding cities such as Detroit, Baltimore and Albuquerque, which it said are among the 20 most dangerous in the world, citing an index by CEOWORLD magazine. The president put it on his website, saying travelors should take precuations "in the face of growing indiscriminate violence, mostly for hate crimes, including racism and discrimination, which cost the lives of more than 250 people in the first seven months of this year." The U.S. State Department had issued its own travel advisory for Uruguay on Aug. 2 due to an increase in violent crime, including homicides, armed robberies and carjacking.
(Drudge) TRUMP TO VISIT EL PASO… on Wednesday, according to the mayor. (Reuters) Two more of the El Paso, TX shooting victims have died — so that’s 22 killed, not just 20. The suspect's grandparents said in a statement he lived with them while in college, then moved out 6 weeks ago, but spent a few nights there while they were out of town.
(Drudge) Big Tech vows to fight white nationalism… instead of seeking to detect actual “mass shooters,” as Trump wants them to do. (Never do they vow to fight radical islamic terror, btw.)
I’m live in the fourth hour after this hour!
Tue, Aug 6, Hour 3:
Jesse plays a clip of a lady in the UK (I think) pushing climate change alarmism. The UN is pushing a plant-based diet. Leave my chicken alone! Jesse points out race hustlers offer blacks chicken and a free bus ride to the polls to vote Democrat.
The Hake Report, 9 AM PT, Tuesday, August 6, 2019, live in the fourth hour of The Jesse Lee Peterson Show video stream (including YouTube, etc.). Audio recordings go up afterward, findable via The Hake Report podcast page.
I put this (the following few sections) on yesterday’s blog post but didn’t really cover it:
Red Flag Laws Are NO Good
Louis in the chat reminded everyone (yesterday) that one man was killed in a shootout when police arrived to confiscate his guns. (Red Flag laws allow authorities to take away a man’s guns if people think he might hurt himself or others.)
(CBS Baltimore, Nov 5, 2018) Maryland’s ‘Red Flag’ Law Turns Deadly: Officer Kills Man Who Refused To Turn In Gun
A 61-year-old man is dead after he was shot by an officer trying to enforce Maryland’s new ‘red flag’ law in Ferndale Monday morning. Anne Arundel County Police confirmed the police-involved shooting happened around 5:17 a.m.
According to police, two officers serving a new Extreme Risk Protective Order (Red Flag Law), a Maryland protective order to remove guns from a household, shot and killed the man listed on that order.
“Under the law, family, police, mental health professionals can all ask for the protective orders to remove weapons,” said Sgt. Jacklyn David, with Anne Arundel County Police.
When officers began to serve him the order, Willis became irate and grabbed his gun. One of the officers tried to take the gun from Willis, but instead Willis fired the gun. The second officer fired a gun, striking Willis. He died at the scene.
I Don’t Like Mental Illness Talk Re: Guns
I don’t trust the government, family members, doctors, experts or anyone else to have the good judgment to legally take someone’s guns by way of a corrupt liberal judge. Remember these people called the Tea Party “terrorists.” The TEA PARTY! They call Veterans as having PTSD, which is a mental illness. The vets are often our militia, our line of defense!
I don’t like them pushing pills on people. They hear voices. They go even more nuts once they come off the pills than they would had they never taken them!
(Slate, April 9, 2014) Anger Causes Violence. Mentally ill people aren’t killers. Angry people are. In 2014, psychologist Laura L. Hayes wrote about the relatively weak connection between mental illness and mass shootings and the much stronger connection between the inability to manage anger and violence. (Slate reposted the article after the February 2018 Parkland, FL shooting.)
She says: “Violence is not a product of mental illness. Nor is violence generally the action of ordinary, stable individuals who suddenly “break” and commit crimes of passion. Violent crimes are committed by violent people, those who do not have the skills to manage their anger. Most homicides are committed by people with a history of violence. Murderers are rarely ordinary, law-abiding citizens, and they are also rarely mentally ill. Violence is a product of compromised anger management skills.”
(I don’t like her wording, she sounds to me like a brainwashed intellectual. I’d love to hear Jesse interview her. But there’s a decent point in there somewhere. Anger is mental [or spiritual] illness. Affecting the mind/body.)
Joy When Whites Do It
Jesse said the same thing for when blacks or whites go out of control. Same thing.
You’ll notice the liberals and POCs want to scapegoat “white supremacy” and get gleeful when whites do wrong.
Caller Log, courtesy of Jesse’s producer Nick
Samuel from Sweden has a story with an experience about “fake Christians”. James asks him to cut them some slack because a lot of people just don’t get it. He also urges Samuel to really live it or else he will push people away farther from the truth.
Louis from Florida (aka “Formerly Known as 420,” aka “I AM Formerly”) wants a clarification because James called him a snake in chat. James stands by his accusation because Louis doesn’t seem to “get” Jesse’s perspective and is constantly criticizing in chat. Forgiving your father is not a Christian principle, Louis states but James disagrees and reminds him that Jesse explains it very plainly with Bible references too. Louis admits that he can’t call himself a Christian due to having sin. James wonders why nitpick the way he does when he is a sinner? Louis accuses Jesse of never mentioning Jesus and that’s why he is wrong. James asks how Louis knows that he doesn’t hate Jesse if he admits he has sin. Louis lies that Jesse says the only way to salvation is prayer.
Scott from Colorado brings up the shootings and wonders about them being red flags.
Sal from Colorado comments on previously caller Louis and the pride and ego involved with people which blinds them from the truth. James admits he gets sucked into intellectual arguments too.
Nick from Missouri wants to know what it’s like to be white? James says its traumatizing… just like being black he imagines. He elaborates on the shared human experience of families that screw you up. He goes on to describe the trauma in school due to them convincing him that he shouldn’t be racist. Nick asks if being nice is a virtue? Hard no from James. Nick goes on to say he doesn’t identify as black or white because to him its that label that separates us.
Dennis from Massachusetts brings up the shootings and some details that lead him to believe they are red flags.
Brendan from New York calls to say that the real problem in America is the breakdown of the family.
NEXT PART IS NEW… I will have to cover it tomorrow!
Here’s Something Creepy: 'Christchurch Call'
The media is promoting something called the “Christchurch Call,” to attack our First Amendment. (Axios) Tech companies are willing to work more closely with law enforcement to fight white nationalist terrorism, but the industry is skeptical of the White House's seriousness on the issue. President Trump called on social media to do better monitoring in the wake of recent mass shootings, but the companies point out the White House still has yet to sign on to recommendations made in the wake of the Christchurch shooting.
Axios says: Trump's speech condemned "white supremacism," but his call to social media companies asked them to detect "mass shooters" rather than pursue any specific group. The question is just how deeply the administration will want social media and law enforcement to go after extremists who support the president and often share his rhetoric.
This Christchurch Call is extremely creepy. They want to take down “violent extremist content” online
Supporters include a bunch of far-left liberal self-destructive white countries, some Asian countries, and maybe just one African country. Thank God, not America. But American countries have: Amazon, Google, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Microsoft… also European platform Daily Motion, and a European search engine called Qwant.
American companies (and media) have bucked the spirit of the First Amendment, because they’re liberals, so they don’t believe in Free Speech. They believe in being everyone’s mom forcing those bully white males who tell the truth to be “nice.” Thanks to the Trump administration, America has not officially entered into the agreement.
