Man who killed Brown students, MIT professor targeted symbolic victims tied to grievances, FBI says: Claudio Manuel Neves Valente — killed two Brown University students and an MIT professor in December 2025 before "dying by suicide" (sic) in New Hampshire. Planning began in 2022 using two legally purchased 9 mm pistols from Florida! Earlier this week, students injured in the attack filed a lawsuit alleging Brown University ignored prior warnings about the shooter and failed to provide adequate security.
