Hake saw a clip shared on X by a couple accounts of him walking off Howie Mandel who was like gushing and kissing his ring, it was gross, and so he’s like I’m so blanking sick of doing podcasts… and he got up and walked off. And Howie and his team were stunned.

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-14-24) What’s turning lemons into Lemonada… Meghan Markle. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, lands new podcast deal: for Meghan’s yet-to-be-announced podcast launching on Lemonada Media.

Is that a loss for Spotify, does anybody listen to her? It WAS a couple’s thing, less than a year after that ended, she’s on her own??

CNN: Lemonada Media is home to Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ podcast, “Wiser Than Me with Julia Louis-Dreyfus,” “Choice Words with Samantha Bee” and more.

After stepping down as senior royals and moving to the United States in 2020, Harry and Meghan secured numerous media deals, including with Spotify and Netflix, the streaming home of their docuseries, “Harry & Meghan,” which chronicled their courtship, their relationship with the media and their decision to leave royal life.

The couple’s multi-year partnership ended with Spotify in June 2023. At the time, Archewell and Spotify said to CNN that both companies “have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.”

I didn’t watch!

(Not CNN but theSkimm Wed 2-14-24) What “everyone” was watching… Super Bowl LVIII. On Sunday night, more than 123.4 million viewers tuned in to watch the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers, making it the most watched Super Bowl in US history. The game comes only second in viewership to the 1969 moon landing. In an era where TV networks are looking for new ways to adapt to the media landscape (cue: Paramount Pictures layoffs), the Super Bowl has consistently been able to draw millions of viewers every year. Still, it’s not clear if the drama of the game going into overtime, the Taylor-Travis relationship, or just American love for the sport is behind the surge. Viva Las Football.

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-14-24) Still feeling Inflation. Yesterday, the Labor Department reported the overall consumer price index (CPI) rose 3.1% in January from a year earlier. That’s a bit more than analysts' expectations of 2.9%. Meanwhile, the US stock market had its worst day in nearly a year as the Dow dropped more than 700 points at its low. The CPI report had investors worried it could be a bit longer before the Federal Reserve starts cutting interest rates.
