Alleged Thief, alleged victim surmises, follows Amazon truck around to steal stuff right after dropoff!
I saw another incident: a supposed InstaCart (grocery) delivery guy stole packages from inside apartment buildings and ran off… Hispanic with a couple Hispanic females, allegedly.
Catalytic Converter Theft
They’re stealing catalytic converters from Corollas now! (I know of two in L.A. offhand.) Not just Priuses! A lady with a Honda Accord said she paid $350 to get a cage built for hers, b/c if they’re stolen it’s $1500 to $2000 to replace!
I could always tell when it happened to the Priuses because they’d run but be super loud like the mufflers had major holes in them!
But with the Corollas, I know at least with one, the car wouldn’t even start! It made a hollow sound while turning over, and then soon the starter stopped trying. And the engine fan came on as though it was hot or something, SMH. Dude had to get it towed!
So watch out!
