Everyone can be a “princess”

(CNN Wed. 7/19/23) QUOTE: “I hope every child knows they can be a princess no matter what.” — Actress Rachel Zegler, addressing criticism of casting decisions on Disney's upcoming live-action remake of "Snow White." Zegler has faced racist remarks from internet users who questioned why an actress of Latin descent was cast to play Snow White — a character with "skin as white as snow" in the animated classic. Disney defended its diverse casting decisions, saying it intends to depart from the classic cannon to "avoid reinforcing stereotypes" from the 1937 film.

Israel = Netanyahu = racist state

(RepAdamSchiff) Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle East and is not a racist state. It faces constant attacks and the threat of terrorism, and is a key U.S. ally. Israel has every right to exist as a Jewish homeland. Instead of denigrating an entire state and its people, we should work towards a two state solution and a lasting peace.

Some people call it a “racist state” (state as in country… the US was meant to be a bunch of united countries, sort of… with states’ rights… right?)

She later said her comments were aimed at Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and not the country as a whole. The House passed a resolution reaffirming support for Israel in response.

(RichardBSpencer) Cornell West citing George Kennan is pretty hilarious. This is a figure who was ambivalent about someone like West being given the right to vote.

I have my own ambivalence about Kennan. Regardless, he was a serious, thoughtful, and consequential man, who is perhaps the best representative of the term “paleo-conservative.”

That Kennan’s opinions have been reduced to talking-points, dropped into the head of West by his Kremlin handler (in all likelihood) is a sad state of affairs.

(CNN Tue. 7/18/23) The disappointing pretty Irish-Italian 37yo "Mean Girls" [and “Parent Trap” remake] actor (ACTRESS, cnn!) and her perhaps 1-year-younger 36yo Arab husband Bader Shammas (Elle) have welcomed a son named Luai (not to be confused with pewdiepie’s LWIAY).
