Daniel Penny says he thought Jordan Neely coulda killed someone

Haha he better say that… Ex-Marine Daniel Penny says he thought subway rider Jordan Neely could have 'killed somebody' (Fox News tweet)

Witnesses say Penny took action when Neely was threatening passengers…

ARTICLE READS… LOL…  Years earlier, he had internalized the message of late civil rights activist Eli Wiesel who spoke to his high school class about the Holocaust after the students read "Night," the author’s autobiographical account of Nazi death camps.

"One of the overall messages that he talked about was that good people did nothing," Penny told Fox News Digital. "It’s a lesson that I carry with me to this day."

Penny, 24, dragged Jordan Neely, 30, to the floor of a northbound F train on May 21, and put him in a chokehold that was caught on cellphone video. Neely ended up dead.

(theSkimm Thu. 6/8/23) Parkland, FL. Yesterday, opening statements began in the trial of a former sheriff's deputy. In 2018, Scot Peterson was on duty when a gunman entered Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School — killing 17 people. State prosecutors say Peterson failed to follow his active shooter training by taking cover for at least 45 minutes outside the school. Peterson claims he didn’t enter the building because he couldn’t figure out where the shots were coming from. Now, he's on trial for 11 counts, including felony child neglect. Legal experts have reportedly called the charges against Peterson unprecedented.  


Another black victim

(theSkimm Thu. 6/8/23) “Remembering” Ajike Owens. Earlier this week, Florida police arrested 58-year-old Susan Louise Lorincz in the fatal shooting of her [b]lack neighbor — 35-year-old Ajike Owens. Police said last week's shooting stemmed from an alleged abusive dispute involving Susan Louise Lorincz, who is white, and Ajike Owens’s children. Protestors put pressure on authorities to make an arrest and press charges. However, police said they had to make sure Susan Louise Lorincz wasn’t protected under Florida’s stand your ground law. Now, Susan Louise Lorincz is expected to appear in court today on manslaughter and assault charges. 


Hake News NOT READ: Pat Robertson, RIP

(CNN Fri. 6/9/23) Pat Robertson, the prominent televangelist who founded the Christian Broadcasting Network, died on Thursday, the network said in a news release. He was 93. Robertson made the Christian right a powerful political force that helped elect Ronald Reagan. He also ran for the Republican nomination for president in 1988 but came in behind both George H.W. Bush and Bob Dole.


Anti-LGBTQ bills

(CNN Fri. 6/9/23) 491: That's how many anti-LGBTQ bills have been introduced across the US since the beginning of the 2023 legislative session. President Biden on Thursday blasted these efforts, largely led by Republicans, and called out "prejudiced" lawmakers for restricting rights as "an appeal to fear."
