SHOW NOTES
Mess!
CHAUVIN RETRIAL? OR IS THERE NO JUSTICE?
We shall see.
I TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT BLACK JUROR LAST THURSDAY, APR 29
From last week: RAILROADED WHITE COP, BLACK ACTIVIST JUROR!
(CBS's 60 Minutes) MN AG Keith Ellison (who was in the trial room anytime I looked) talked to CBS's Scott Pelley, who was trying to make Ellison look good and compassionate. Keith pretended to be fair.
Chauvin Trial Juror Speaks Out After Guilty Verdict
(The Epoch Times) The first to reveal himself publicly, Brandon Mitchell, a BLACK 31-year-old high school basketball coach and Minneapolos (Murderapolis) resident who has a podcast on dating and relationships (WHAT!), said on the “Get Up! Mornings With Erica Campbell” podcast “we had to do some explaining to a few people” and that “everybody was on the same page.”
It took 8 hours of deliberation (Mitchell thought it shoulda been just 20 minutes) to falsely (IMO) convict former MPD veteran Officer Derek Chauvin of 2nd & 3rd degree quote-unquote “murder” and 2nd degree “manslaughter.”
Mitchell said of Chauvin, “As the case went on his demeanor kind of changed to more of a confused look as this isn’t how it’s supposed to go. I didn’t see any remorse.” WHAT A SLEAZY FAKE JUROR!
Chauvin’s held in isolation at MN’s only maximum-security Oak Park Heights prison in Stillwater, until sentencing in June.
(Lisa Christensen, one of two alternates who was dismissed before deliberations, previously spoke to the media about the case.)
In the new interviews, Mitchell said that he became exhausted from having to watch video footage of Chauvin kneeling on Floyd’s neck and back and began turning away so as to not watch when the footage was shown during the trial.
He also recounted being struck by the testimony of different people, noting the moment that Floyd’s brother Philonise Floyd took the stand and told jurors about their childhood together.
Asked by Erica Campbell if he had a message to people about accepting jury duty, he added: “It’s just important. If we want to see some change and want to see some things going differently, we got to get out there and get in these avenues and these rooms to try to spark some change.”
WASH COMPOST HEADLINES
The Pentagon wants to take a harder line on domestic extremism. How far can it go? Legal experts say the Pentagon could face legal challenges if it expands rules that now permit ‘passive’ membership in extremist groups. By Missy Ryan
Democrats prepare for all-in Florida fight against rising GOP star Ron DeSantis: Former governor Charlie Crist is only the first of high profile candidates to announce bids to replace him, part of an effort to break Republican dominance in statewide races. By Michael Scherer
Strongmen who got cozy with Trump get the cold shoulder from Biden: Russia’s Putin and China’s Xi get tougher treatment, while many of the former president’s favorites just get ignored. By Anne Gearan
The Biden administration starts to unwind Trump’s border legacy: Administration officials are touting an end to an era of crude nationalism and a more sober approach to border security. By Ishaan Tharoor
LIZ CHENEY VS FELLOW RINOS
(Wash. COMPOST) The effort to dump Liz Cheney is the consequence of a party that lost its way: For now, Trump has won the battle for the soul of the GOP. Dissenters to his big lie are not welcome. By Dan Balz
(COMPOST) Marjorie Taylor Greene might have helped Liz Cheney survive this long
NOTE: Trump put out a memo about her. From the Desk of Donald J. Trump -- donaldjtrump.com/desk
May 3: Heartwarming to read new polls on big-shot warmonger Liz Cheney of the great State of Wyoming. She is so low that her only chance would be if vast numbers of people run against her which, hopefully, won’t happen. They never liked her much, but I say she’ll never run in a Wyoming election again!
May 5: Warmonger Liz Cheney, who has virtually no support left in the Great State of Wyoming, continues to unknowingly and foolishly say that there was no Election Fraud [SHENANIGANS] in the 2020 Presidential Election when in fact, the evidence, including no Legislative approvals as demanded by the U.S. Constitution, shows the exact opposite. Had Mike Pence referred the information on six states (only need two) back to State Legislatures, and had gutless and clueless MINORITY Leader Mitch McConnell (he blew two seats in Georgia that should have never been lost) fought to expose all of the corruption that was presented at the time, with more found since, we would have had a far different Presidential result, and our Country would not be turning into a socialist nightmare! Never give up!
May 5: Liz Cheney is a warmongering fool who has no business in Republican Party Leadership. We want leaders who believe in the Make America Great Again movement, and prioritize the values of America First. Elise Stefanik is a far superior choice, and she has my COMPLETE and TOTAL endorsement for GOP Conference Chair. Elise is a tough and smart communicator!
BTW: May 5: What Facebook, Twitter, and Google have done is a total disgrace and an embarrassment to our Country. Free Speech has been taken away from the President of the United States because the Radical Left Lunatics are afraid of the truth, but the truth will come out anyway, bigger and stronger than ever before. The People of our Country will not stand for it! These corrupt social media companies must pay a political price, and must never again be allowed to destroy and decimate our Electoral Process.
(Wash COMPOST) The GOP’s identity crisis not just going to go away
THE THREE-FIFTHS COMPROMISE
(Wash COMPOST) GOP state lawmakers: The Three-Fifths Compromise was actually good: In the course of arguing against teaching about systemic racism in schools, some GOP lawmakers suggest the original constitutional sin was somehow anti-slavery. By Aaron Blake
