Perfect Peace (3rd excerpt from Silent Prayer blog post)

Many Christians do not believe that we can have perfect peace in this life. But Isaiah the prophet said to God: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” It’s in the Bible!

Christ commanded us, “Take no thought for your life,” or about tomorrow, because each day has enough evil of its own. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.“

Jesus said, “Do not worry.” Yet today, Christians worry! Because they don’t know any better, they excuse it, going on living in darkness just as the world does. But “greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

1 John 4 reads:

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.“

If you have anger, you don’t have peace. You have fear, doubt, worry, insecurity, and are emotional.

Maui wildfires death toll continues to grow

(CNN Wed. 8/16/23) The death toll from the Maui wildfires has climbed to 106 as Hawaii's governor warns identifying all the victims will be difficult. Identification is challenging and will likely take weeks because the remains are largely unrecognizable and fingerprints are rarely being found, Gov. Josh Green said Tuesday. So far, family members of missing people have provided 41 DNA samples, trying to see whether their loved ones are among the dead, county officials said. As the search expands for more unaccounted people, President Joe Biden on Tuesday said he will travel to Maui soon to visit the devastation. "I want to go and make sure we got everything they need," Biden said, adding he wants to make sure his possible presidential visit wouldn't impede recovery efforts.

Arresting Our Greatest Law-and-Order President

(CNN Wed. 8/16/23) Former President Donald Trump and his allies charged on Monday in the Georgia 2020 election subversion case have until the end of next week to surrender for arrest. Trump is expected to surrender at the Fulton County jail, the local sheriff said Tuesday, though it remains unclear exactly when that will occur. Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat previously suggested he wants to treat the defendants charged in the election subversion case the same as any other defendant would be treated. "Unless someone tells me differently we will be following normal practices. It doesn't matter your status we will have mug shots ready for you," Labat told CNN earlier this month.

NOT READ: The sheriff will now have to negotiate with the Secret Service and Trump's attorneys about the logistics of Trump's surrender as the leading 2024 GOP presidential candidate continues to juggle time between courtrooms and the campaign trail.

YET MORE on the thugs, fallout from their deaths: black LIES (The Antidote)

3rd reading from first chapter of The Antidote: Healing America from the Poison of Hate Blame and Victimhood

(Posted on WND.com Aug 2015) Sudden death on Canfield Drive in Ferguson — a little reminder on the mothers / parents of Trayvon Martin and Mike Brown, from the same first chapter as the past two days…

Trayvon died Feb 2012 two years before the “gentle giant” Mike Brown (Aug 2014)...

Mike Brown's [“family” had an] an ugly incident on West Florissant two months after the shooting. According to the police report, Pearlie Gordon, the mother-in-law of Michael Brown Sr., was selling "Justice for Michael Brown" merchandise when twenty or thirty people pulled up in cars, jumped out, and rushed them. At the head … was [Mike Brown’s “mama” Leslie] McSpadden, "You can't sell this s***," she told [Pearlie] Gordon.

[Pearlie] Gordon explained who she was – … the mother of Michael Brown Sr's [new] wife Calvina – and told [Leslie] McSpadden that unless she could document a trademark on the Michael Brown name, she was going to continue to sell her [swag].

[Leslie] McSpadden's mother then piped up, "You don't know my grandson like that. I'm gonna tear this s*** down," and she proceeded to do just that. Someone then hit [Pearlie] Gordon in the back of her head, and the people with [Leslie] McSpadden, [thug “stepfather”] Louis Head included, began wrecking the booth.

"That's Calvina's mom. Get her a**," [Leslie] McSpadden yelled, then ran up and punched [Pearlie] Gordon. Others did the same.

[Leslie] McSpadden's posse made off with fifteen hundred dollars in merchandise and four hundred dollars in cash and fled the scene before the police arrived.

JLP editorializes: Although no one much wanted Michael [Brown] around when he was alive, apparently everyone wanted a piece of him when he was dead.

“American” (Defector?) in North Korea (he black)

(CNN Wed. 8/16/23) North Korea confirmed publicly today for the first time that US Army Pvt. Travis King crossed into its territory. King's story garnered international attention last month after he became the first US soldier to cross into North Korea since 1982. US defense officials said King "willfully and without authorization" ran into North Korea while taking a civilian tour inside the demilitarized zone. State-run Korean media issued a statement today that claimed King had expressed "his willingness to seek refugee" in North Korea or a third country. It also claimed King confessed that he had decided to enter North Korea as "he harbored ill feeling against inhuman maltreatment and racial discrimination within the U.S. Army."

NOT READ: The announcement has prompted an appeal from his family to treat him humanely as questions remain about why he entered one of the most hostile countries on Earth.
