08/04/20 Tue. Hake News: Sick-minded Teachers Protest Against Reopening

Hake News, Tuesday, August 4, 2020

End of Hour 1: Gambler removed in cuffs from Vegas casino for not wearing mask (and resisting security). Holland’s top scientists say masks can hurt more than help in general.

End of Hour 2: Storm Isaias causing damage and death on East Coast, starting with North Carolina. Mothers afraid of Covid at schools. Teachers protest against reopening.

After JLP, catch The Hake Report.

08/04/20 Tue. Hour 1

Biblical Question: What does it mean to be yourself? Most people are not themselves.

Jesse has a great monologue. When this BLM MESS is over… Jesse mentions watching part of Tucker Carlson’s show on Fox News. Some in the gov’t want to stop teaching history in the classrooms. They want to rewrite it to talk about blacks, homosexuals, women, and other races, to push a false American history.

Jesse tells of a Christian guy Leon J. Podles who wrote an article in TouchStone Magazine about “integrating anger into a virtuous life.” At one time, women were of anger, and men were not. But now women have convinced men to be into anger and emotions.

Covid insanity

Gambler removed in cuffs from Vegas casino for not wearing mask...

(Drudge / The Sun) He was at 4 Queens! Aw, I like that one! I hit up the pizza place there. Saturday night the perhaps Hispanic or other light-skinned mixed foreigner male in glasses, a T-shirt, and shorts, struggling with five security guards, yelling for help.

It is currently mandatory for all residents and tourists to wear face coverings in public and inside private businesses across Nevada.

Restrictions remain in Nevada for businesses and on gatherings of more than 50 people after Governor Steve Sisolak extended them beyond July when they were set to expire.

For most people, COVID-19 causes mild or moderate fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. Not a lot of people are known to have died yet in Nevada — 832.

Some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, can face severe illness including pneumonia and death. The vast majority recover.

Holland's top scientists say no evidence coverings work...

(Drudge / Daily Mail) Ian Birrell wrote from Amsterdam for The Mail on Sunday — he warned that face masks may even damage the fight against Covid!

120 countries in the world, including much of Europe, have ordered citizens to wear masks in public places to prevent the spread of Covid-19

'Face masks in public places are not necessary, based on all the current evidence,' said Coen Berends, spokesman for the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment. 'There is no benefit and there may even be negative impact.' KEEP IN MIND THE DUTCH ARE THE FIRST TO LEGALIZE POT! HAHA!

Holland's position is based on assessments by the Outbreak Management Team, a group of experts advising the government. It first ruled against masks in May and has re-evaluated the evidence several times, including again last week.

It believes they detract from a clear three-pronged message that has kept deaths from coronavirus down to less than half the rate in Britain: wash hands regularly, maintain social distancing of 1.5 metres and stay at home if suffering any symptoms.

The one exception outside of the medical frontline has been on public transport, where masks are mandatory on the basis it is difficult to stay apart on crowded buses, ferries and trains. 'We have seen this approach works,' said Christian Hoebe, a professor of infectious diseases in Maastricht and member of the advisory team. 'Face masks should not be seen as a magic bullet that halts the spread.

'The evidence for them is contradictory. In general, we think you must be careful with face masks because they can give a false sense of security. People think they're immune from disease or stop social distancing. That is very negative.'

Briefly: Scared liberals and women

Parents struggle as schools reopen…

4 In 5 Considering Homeschooling…

(I cover this more in Hour 2 after the storm coverage.)

Men’s Forums are the best meeting of the month, although Church is always great. (I presume Women’s Forums are really cool too.)

Storm came through

EAST COAST STORM ALERT… (Drudge / The Weather Channel) (Pronounced ees-ah-EE-ahs, which is the Spanish pronunciation) Isaias Made Landfall in North Carolina as a Hurricane; Strong, Damaging Winds, Tornadoes, Heavy Rain, and Flooding Will Spread Into the Northeast Tuesday (today). Isaias should move into eastern Canada by early Wednesday morning.

As I reported yesterday, Isaias is to track along I-95... the Interstate highway that runs all up and down the East Coast US from Miami, FL, to the border between the state of Maine and the Canadian province of New Brunswick.

Tornadoes, fires, flooding, outages... (Drudge / CBS News) Tropical Storm Isaias spawned tornadoes and dumped rain during an inland march up the U.S. East Coast on Tuesday after making landfall as a hurricane in North Carolina, where it piled boats against the docks and caused floods and fires that displaced dozens of people. At least one person was killed when one of its twisters hit a mobile home park and an outage led to an issue with a nuclear power plant.

A tornado that touched down at a mobile home park in Bertie County, North Carolina killed at least one and left several people missing, local officials said.

Fox News was showing crazy pictures of tornado damage in North Carolina.

The storm crossed over land as a hurricane just after 11 p.m. with maximum sustained winds of 85 mph.

Isaias had been upgraded again from a tropical storm to a Category 1 hurricane Monday evening. Its maximum sustained winds dropped after it hit land to minimum-hurricane-speed of 75 mph with higher gusts. And by 3 a.m., it was back down to a tropical storm, with maximum sustained winds of 70 mph.

More about the Covid madness

Parents struggle as schools reopen…

(Drudge / Far-left AP) AP talks about mothers who are afraid of sending their children to school. Overprotective, paranoid, controlling mothers and liberal media, what a surprise. RME. President Trump has been pushing to reopen schools.

4 In 5 Considering Homeschooling…

THAT’D BE GOOD IF THE PARENTS WERE MORAL! MAYBE THEY’RE LESS OFF-THE-DEEP-END THAN CREDENTIALED TEACHERS THOUGH. MAYBE NOT.

(Drudge / StudyFinds) A survey showed 82% of parents are more worried about sending kids back to school than ever before. A quarter say they absolutely will not allow their children in a classroom.

About 60 percent don’t believe their children will properly wash their hands in school. Nearly half say they’re trying to teach their kids about proper hygiene during the pandemic. GEEZ. I THOUGHT THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE KNOWN ANYWAY!

Teachers protest across the nation...

(Drudge / Reuters) There’s a website for employees from 35 school districts. On Twitter, the Milwaukee Teachers' Education Association showed protesters making fake gravestones that said "Here lies a third grade student from Green Bay who caught COVID at school" and "RIP Grandma caught COVID helping grand kids with homework." SICK PEOPLE!

Teachers are also demanding financial help for parents in need, including rent and mortgage assistance, a moratorium on evictions and foreclosures and cash assistance. COMMIES!

They are demanding in-person classes not be held until scientific data supports it, safety protocols such as lower class sizes and virus testing are established, and schools are staffed with adequate numbers of counselors and nurses, according to a website set up for the demonstrations.
